In Nagasaki, namaco fishery has been running for over 300 year from the Edo period. As herbal medicine for skin disease, namaco exported to China, Qing dynasty at that time. Lately, dried namaco is exported to China and called “marine ginseng” because of its plentiful nutrition. Moreover, the increase in its popularity for delicacy makes its price surge and it is called “black diamond”. <\/p>\n

Working crews found that namaco gets their skin soft and smooth while they were in the process of drying namaco. Then, they started to use broth of namaco for bathing and face washing, which gave them the idea that namaco would be effective for skin and soap with namaco extract could be very valuable.<\/p>\n

We tackled the project of creating namaco soap. First, we asked National Nagasaki University to analyze the components of namaco, and they found the result that namaco has a lot of good components for skin and confirmed the safety of namaco extract. Then, Saticine Medical accepted to produce the soap. It had been 2 years since we started the project. Black Sea Cucumber Soap was finally created in a joint effort by Omura Bay Fishery Cooperative, National Nagasaki University, and Saticine Medical.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
